I was very lucky to be treated to lunch yesterday at Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons. I was a late birthday treat for me and a early birthday treat for a friend.
It it a spectacular resturant owned by Raymond Blanc and has 2 Michieln stars.
Whilst it was a treat and i did not see the final bill it has to be the most evpensive lunch i have ever eaten my main course was £42 but was the best venison i have ever eaten.
The staff were very attentive and the buildings and gardens are just super.
I felt very special and if any of you ever have the chance to go then jump at it. OH and i have decieded we will not eat out for 6 months and then go back for his birthday.
I forgot my camera but picked up a couple of postcards for you all to enjoy
The Raymond rose
My eyes nearly popped out of my head then, your main course was as much as I'd want to spend on a meal for four!!! Or two on a special occasion :) What a nice birthday treat though.

I know Mel, my friend ordered me a glass of desert wine to have with my pudding and i notices it was £15 for ONE glass - All i can say is it tasted like nectar but i would never pay that much for a whole bottle normally!
ReplyDeleteGood job it was'nt EXPENSIVE [emphasis on the X].
