Lunch at Le Manoir

I was very lucky to be treated to lunch yesterday at Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons. I was a late birthday treat for me and a early birthday treat for a friend.

It it a spectacular resturant owned by Raymond Blanc and has 2 Michieln stars.

Whilst it was a treat and i did not see the final bill it has to be the most evpensive lunch i have ever eaten my main course was £42 but was the best venison i have ever eaten.

The staff were very attentive and the buildings and gardens are just super.

I felt very special and if any of you ever have the chance to go then jump at it. OH and i have decieded we will not eat out for 6 months and then go back for his birthday.

I forgot my camera but picked up a couple of postcards for you all to enjoy

  1. My eyes nearly popped out of my head then, your main course was as much as I'd want to spend on a meal for four!!! Or two on a special occasion :) What a nice birthday treat though.

  2. I know Mel, my friend ordered me a glass of desert wine to have with my pudding and i notices it was £15 for ONE glass - All i can say is it tasted like nectar but i would never pay that much for a whole bottle normally!
